Notecards
These cards were done especially for Kindred Spirits. In other words, these aren't cards we sent off for and had personalized with our information. No other organization has these cards! The colors are bright and vibrant; the cards are printed on quality recycled stock; and are nicely packaged, perfect for gift-giving. A friend of Kindred Spirits, Laura Bennett, who sadly passed away recently, worked with us in creating these and they've been popular from the get-go. Once these cards have sold out, they will be gone forever because Laura didn't give us the artwork. We are down to our last 30 or 40 packs so get them while you can. If we have different cards made, we already know we will have to charge more so stock up now. (Hint: these make great teacher gifts!)
Price: $10, plus $5 shipping/handling (if you buy notecards from us at a fundraiser event or from the Treasure House, you don't pay shipping, of course. If you order more than one fundraiser item to be shipped, you do not pay full shipping for additional items. About our logo: The circle represents the circle of life of which we are all a part. The footprints show how we each have our own habitat, yet you'll notice how they cross each other's path along the way. We are all kindred spirits and must share this home called earth. The shooting star is what we wish on, hoping someday everyone will recognize this universal truth.
Please note: not all sizes are available in all colors. Because we do not sell a large quantity of shirts and have to pay upfront, we have to sell most of our stock before we have more printed.

Julianna Print
Julianna's Story
Julianna, just a few days old, was lying in a field, quietly waiting for her mother to return to nurse and groom her. She knew Mom always kept her word, so she lay where she was told and napped. Out of nowhere, a dog viciously attacked her, leaving serious wounds and an injured spinal cord.
In the beginning, we were battling for Julianna's very life. When it became clear she would pull through, thus began the long, difficult task of therapy in hopes someday she would walk again. The emotional and physical difficulties tending to a paralyzed fawn are tremendous, too numerous to put in this tiny of a space. There was hydrotherapy, muscle stimulation, special beds, slings, feedings, and lots of laundry! Her care took many, many hours each day, in addition to the other 50+ patients we had at our hospital at that time.
Into her third month of rehab, she began developing serious, chronic problems from being "down," not a good situation for a ruminant. We fought each battle as it cropped up, but we knew in our hearts we were losing the war.
The day before Julianna died we, for the first time, saw significant movement in one rear leg during hydrotherapy. But her recovery was to take place somewhere else...a place she is now running free and happy. I held Julianna in my arms as the angels came for her and though it has been a couple years, I miss her still.
Artist Richard Knox has immortalized Julianna (named for his daughter) with a pen & ink portrait. Prints are matted and you have your choice of colors (mats), so contact us for availability.
